Local Business Gives Back to RCS!

Meet Trevor, a 2017 graduate of Reynoldsburg City Schools, who works with Jamie at Progressive Flooring in Etna, Ohio. The local business wanted to give back to their community and asked their employees to donate school supplies. The result? 50 backpacks filled with first grade school supplies. Now, they just needed to decide who to donate it to.

School Supplies Donations at RHES

Trevor, who went to elementary school at Taylor Road Elementary, wanted to give back to the District. "I went through elementary to graduation at Reynoldsburg," he said.

"In fact, I got my internship as a senior in high school at Progressive Flooring, and I am still here today as an IT Supervisor."

Jamie, Progressive Flooring's HR Coordinator, said, "As a mom, I know how expensive school supplies can be. We wanted to help kids start the year prepared."

As a company, Progressive Flooring chose Rose Hill Elementary School to receive the backpacks and supplies. Principal Damika Bates was on hand to accept the backpacks and give Trevor and Jamie thanks and hugs.

"My favorite memory from school was when I was able to put my handprint on the wall as I left 4th grade (at the time, elementary buildings were K-4.) Shout out to Ms. Angie Bowersox, who was my favorite teacher," Trevor said.

We are grateful for partnerships like these, which help us support our families.
